The most common reason people see a physiotherapist is to address an injury or pain that’s inhibiting their ability to move and exercise normally. Another common reason people need physiotherapy is for rehabilitation after a surgery, usually with a prescription from a doctor.

You will also be prescribed certain treatments, such as exercises, shockwave therapy, spinal mobilisation and manipulation. The treatments will likely be carried out in the second and subsequent sessions.
